Michael Pittard is a lecturer in the English Department at UNCG. He obtained an MFA in Poetry from UNCG in 2019, and graduated with a BA in Creative Writing and History from Warren Wilson College in 2016. He served as a poetry editor for The Greensboro Review from 2018-19. His primary focus is creative writing and poetry. He writes for Chicago Review of Books, and his poems have been published in The Citron Review, Coffin Bell, and Poetry South, among others.
