The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a fiction and poetry reading by Chris Swensen, Megan Gower, and Joe Dunne on Friday, February 19th at 7PM. A part of the MFA Writing Program’s 2021 Thesis Reading Series, this virtual event will be livestreamed via our YouTube channel. It is free and open to the public.
Joe Dunne is a short fiction writer and instructor at University of North Carolina Greensboro, where he is completing his MFA in Creative Writing. He writes about addiction, technology, labor, and family crises. Originally from Chicagoland, Joe attended Indiana University where he studied English Literature, History, and Philosophy. He lives in Greensboro with his cat.
Megan Gower graduated from Appalachian State University with her BA in English with concentrations in both creative writing and professional writing. She attended the Columbia Publishing Course and worked in the NYC publishing industry before deciding to return to North Carolina and pursue her graduate degree. Currently, Megan is working on her MFA in Poetry at UNC Greensboro. Her passions lie not only in verse, but also in children’s, middle-grade, and young adult literature of every genre.
Chris Swensen is from the radioactive mountains and valleys of southern Idaho. He is a current fiction editor for The Greensboro Review and second-year MFA student at UNC Greensboro.
