I Am One of You Forever: A Celebration of Fred Chappell

The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro and The UNCG Class of 1952 will host a day-long celebration of UNCG Professor Emeritus and former NC Poet Laureate Fred Chappell on Saturday, October 1st at the UNCG Alumni House on College Avenue. The events will kick off at 1:00 PM with a panel discussion by four of Chappell’s former students: Quinn Dalton, Julie Funderburk, Drew Perry, and Rhett Iseman Trull. The rest of the day’s festivities include a performance by Bruce Piephoff, an alumni reading, a reading by poet Rodney Jones, and a special screening of Michael Frierson‘s documentary film Fred Chappell: I Am One of You Forever.
