The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro and The Greensboro Review will host a fiction reading by Derek Palacio, who joins our Creative Writing faculty this fall. This special virtual event will be livestreamed on Thursday, September 17th at 7PM. It is free and open to the public; event link coming soon on our Facebook page. Books will be available for online order through our friends at Scuppernong Books.
Derek Palacio is the author of the novella How to Shake the Other Man and the novel The Mortifications. His work has appeared in Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Prize Stories 2013, The Kenyon Review, StoryQuarterly, Witness, and elsewhere. He is a recipient of fellowships from the Black Mountain Institute, Ragdale, CubaOne, and the National Park Service.
