Julie Funderburk

Julie Funderburk is the author The Door That Always Opens (Louisiana State University Press). She is the recipient of a North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship and scholarships from the Bread Loaf and Sewanee writers’ conferences. Her poetry appears in literary magazines such as 32 Poems, Birmingham Poetry Review, The Cincinnati Review, The Greensboro Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, and Ploughshares.

A graduate of the MFA Writing Program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Queens University in Charlotte, NC, where she directs The Arts at Queens.
