The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a poetry and fiction reading by John Haugh and Elise LeSage on Friday, January 24th at 6:00 PM at Scuppernong Books, 304 South Elm Street. A part of the MFA Writing Program’s 2025 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public.
JOHN FRANK HAUGH’s writing has been published in journals including storySouth, Poets Reading the News, the Tipton Journal, Main Street Rag, the Roanoke Review, North Carolina Literary Review, and The Wall Street Journal. A recipient of a 2024-2025 Clonginger-Stout Family Scholarship, Haugh won the Randall Jarrell Poetry Prize in 2022 and has had poems on posters through Poetry in Plain Sight.
ELISE LESAGE is a fiction writer and book marketing specialist. Her stories have appeared in literary magazines like Buckman Journal, UCLA’s Westwind, and elsewhere. Her work has also been featured on PseudoPod, a horror anthology podcast. A recipient of a 2024-2025 Clonginger-Stout Family Scholarship, Elise currently serves a Teaching Assistant in the Department of English.
