“This summer I worked as an Editorial Intern at WALTER magazine, a local publication in Raleigh. I initially discovered the listing for the internship on Handshake and decided to apply because I was interested in journalism and media. I copyedited, proofread, and fact-checked stories for print, researched and wrote lifestyle articles for the WALTER website, and formatted articles in WordPress. Also, I learned so much about AP Style, search engine optimization, and content management systems.”
