My name is Olivia Cline, and I graduated from UNCG with a BA in English in May 2014. I’m now in the English graduate program at Boston College studying Victorian literature with a focus on medical texts. I will be graduating in December 2015 with a MA in English Literature. Currently, I’m applying to publishing houses with the intent of working as an editor for medical textbooks. My experience at UNCG allowed me to work closely with incredible faculty members, without whom I’m confident I would not be in the position I am today. The individualized attention and the program’s flexibility allowed me to delve much more deeply into my specific interests than a bigger, more rigid program might have allowed, which eventually led to an honors thesis that sparked my interest in what I ultimately wanted to study in graduate school.
