Anna Smith

My first year of teaching has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I have never felt so sure of myself as I stand up in front of my class and teach. Teaching is definitely my passion and I could not have accomplished all that I have accomplished this year if I had not had the preparation at UNC-G. This year, I have implemented Young Adult Literature into my classroom which has made a huge difference in my students’ desire to read and learn. We are currently working on a Multi-Genre Research Project that my students are incredibly excited about. Teaching is challenging and some days are better than others but overall, I couldn’t ask for a better profession. At the very least, I can say I am excited to get up each day and see my students. They always find a way to brighten up my day.
