2nd Annual Douglass Day Event – Zoom

Douglass Day is a nationwide event presented by the Colored Conventions Project where students, faculty, and community members from across the country will collaborate to transcribe previously unpublished writings from Black historical figures with the goal of creating archives that will help make these important documents more accessible to researchers, teachers, students, and communities.

This year, Douglass Day participants will be transcribing the papers of the feminist and antiracist activist Mary Church Terrell, whose incredibly career spans nearly a century. Please encourage your students to come by and please come by yourselves–you don’t have to stay the whole time and you’re welcome to come and go as you can!
