The English department, in partnership with
the Office of Alumni Engagement, is proud to announce
The Last lecture is an opportunity for retiring professors to reflect on a career in higher education
and what they have learned over their years in the classroom.
These events are made more meaningful by including former students as well as family, friends,
and colleagues – a visual representation of the lives impacted within the professors’s sphere of influence.
The lecture and follow-up Q&A will last approximately 45 minutes,
with a reception to follow in the Humanities Lounge (MHRA 3501).
