Dr. Erin Green wins the CCCC 2026 Lavender Rhetorics Dissertation Award

Dr. Erin Green won the CCCC 2026 Lavender Rhetorics Dissertation Award for her dissertation, “Writing Abolition: Dismantling Carceral Literacies of the Prison-Industrial Complex through Black Queer Activism.” The Lavender Rhetorics awards recognize excellent, original, significant, and influential scholarship that makes outstanding queer interventions into the study of composition and rhetoric.  Her dissertation also​ received an Honorable Mention recognition from the CCCC James Berlin Outstanding Dissertation Award Committee.
