Undergraduate Advising
Advising for English Majors
The English Department offers drop-in advising both throughout the semester and during the Registrar’s advising season. English majors can drop in to our advising center to go over their selection of classes, degree process, and discuss additional opportunities.
All English majors must visit the English Department’s advising center to receive their advising code.
Majors with 30 or more earned hours or more will be advised by the English department. Majors with fewer than 30 hours are usually advised by CASA to ensure that they are off to good start with your general education requirements.
Earned hours include only the hours students have already earned credit for, i.e. Transfer Credit and classes that have a recorded grade. They do not include courses that students are currently completing (even though these are included in Degree Works reports).
Watch your email for information about our upcoming advising dates and times!
