Delaney Phelps & Shanley Poole MFA Thesis Reading

The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a fiction and poetry reading by Delaney Phelps and Shanley Poole on Friday, January 30th at 6:00 PM at Scuppernong Books, 304 South Elm Street. A part of the MFA Writing Program’s 2026 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public.
DELANEY PHELPS is a writer and teacher from North Carolina. Her work has appeared in The Talon Review, Main Squeeze Magazine, After Happy Hour Review, and elsewhere. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Fiction at UNC Greensboro.
SHANLEY POOLE is an MFA candidate at UNC Greensboro. Their work is forthcoming or has been published in Analog, F(r)iction, The Common, 14 Poems, and Quarter(ly) Journal. She was a 2017 fellow at the Beargrass Writing Retreat, a 2024 writer-in-residence at Azule Residency, and former Storyteller at Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency
