Petra Salazar and Angela Winsor Thesis Reading

The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a poetry and fiction reading by Petra Salazar and Angela Winsor on Friday, February 4th at 7:00 PM at Scuppernong Books, 304 South Elm Street. A part of the MFA Writing Program’s 2022 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public. Masks are required for all attendees; no eating or drinking inside the store (scuppernongbooks.com/current-covid-policy).

Petra Salazar, raised in Española, New Mexico, is the Poetry Editor for Snapdragon Journal and an MFA Candidate in Poetry at UNC Greensboro. They are the founder of TMI Open Mic Incubator and Others Ink, collectives that create space for gender-marginalized writers to develop their craft outside of cis-male opinion. They have been published in The Southampton Review, The Acentos Review, Open Minds Quarterly, The Grief Diaries, Sonora Review, The Journal of Latina Critical Feminism, Latin American Literature Today, and Plants & Poetry.

Angela Winsor is a writer and photographer from South Florida. Her writing has appeared in Southern Humanities Review online, Saw PalmNELLEThe Lascaux Review, and elsewhereShe holds an MA in English from Auburn University and is currently a second-year MFA candidate at UNC Greensboro where she serves as a fiction editor for The Greensboro Review.
