Matt O’Donnell graduated from the MFA writing program at UNCG in 1998. He is Editor & Executive Director of From the Fishouse, an audio archive of emerging poets, which he co-founded with fellow UNCG MFAer Camille Dungy in 2004. He is co-editor, with Dungy and Jeffrey Thomson, of a spinoff collection that focuses on the aural and rhythmic qualities of poems from the website: From the Fishouse: An anthology of poems that sing, rhyme, resound, syncopate, alliterate, and just plain sound great. O’Donnell’s day job is as Associate Editor of Bowdoin magazine at Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine, where he also runs the Fishouse Poetry Reading Series, and directs aTelemark and backcountry ski program for the Bowdoin College Outing Club. He lives in Pittston, Maine, with his 10-year-old daughter.
