I graduated from UNCG in 2006 with a degree in English Education. I immediately got a job at Guilford County Schools and won the district Rookie Teacher of the Year award that year. I am grateful for the classes and the experiences I had at UNCG that prepared me to be the best teacher I could be. This year I won district Teacher of the Year and am now the State Teacher of the Year. Thank you, UNCG for giving me the foundation I needed to be an effective teacher.
